Bund, cuff watch straps

Bund watch straps, like NATO straps, are of a military origin. They are characterised by extra layer of padding beneath the watch, which was originally designed to prevent from overheating, frostbiting or any other external influence (they were mostly used by pilots and had to be very durable, which makes them similar to aviator/pilot watch straps). Additionally, extra material prevents contact between the watch’s case and skin, making it an excellent choice for those with metal allergy. Bund straps are one of the biggest watch straps available on the market and are quite warm, making them uncomfortable to wear in hot weather.
